testimonials with you:
Dear Cara,
We appreciate all the
hard work that went into preparing the workshop for our educators.
It was an exceptional experience and gave insight to the
effectiveness of our local Response to Intervention programs. Our
educators made a few comments we would like to share with you:
·
Enjoyed
it, let's do it again.
·
Needs to
be made available for more staff.
·
Great job!
Thanks for all the RTI information and resources.
·
Excellent
presentation-principals and leadership folks need to be here!
·
Great
program-include more classroom teachers!
·
More-Excellent! Thank you for the resources and opportunity.
·
Very
engaging presentation.
·
The main
speaker was excellent and certainly knew her stuff. The materials
and power points she provided were definitely motivators that can
help all our faculty get onboard with RTI. We find that we
continually need more information as we work our way through the RTI
process of installing the program. We do not have enough help as
the RTI process finds its way into our classrooms. I think you
probably know the workshop was very timely as many schools struggle
with the implementation of RTI. I hope we will be able to send
several members of our faculty next year as we are looking forward
to future RTI workshops. Thank you for conducting a workshop that
provided us with a comfortable environment and an exceptional
learning opportunity.
Cara Shores is an
engaging presenter who was very knowledgeable and well received by
teachers, principles, and other school personnel during our recent
professional workshop on response to intervention. I would highly
recommend her for similar workshops.

Cara Shores and Kim
Chester have presented several workshops for me on the topic of
Response to Intervention (RtI) for teachers, administrators, related
services providers, and others. Their workshops on RTI have been
well received, and the participants’ evaluations have been positive.
I want to especially focus on two workshops they conducted this past
summer for the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders. One of
these sessions was “Using RtI to Raise the Achievement of All
Students”, and the second session was “How Implementing RtI Can Help
Your Schools Make AYP”. In these sessions the emphasis was on RtI as
a general education process that can raise the achievement level of
all students. Both of these sessions were designed for
building principals, curriculum directors, and other general
education leaders. These sessions were well attended, and the
evaluations were very positive. The audience for these sessions was
the general education leaders we need to reach with the positive
message of the benefits of RtI for all students.

Cara was able to train
our entire high school staff over the course of a week, and give the
staff an understandable overview of RTI at the high school level.
This is no easy task!! Our staff gained an understanding of what
RTI is, and what it is not, which was very helpful in their
understanding that this is not a new initiative, but rather the
larger umbrella that encompasses all we are doing now, and will be
doing in the future, to help all of our students achieve to their
highest potential. Cara was well received by our staff, and brought
knowledge and expertise to which they could relate as high school
educators. We look forward to continued work with Cara in the
future!
