A Parent’s Journey

The presenter is a parent of a child with a disability. She provides poignant perspectives experienced throughout the many milestones encountered thus far. What makes this presentation unique is the presenter’s educational background as both a regular education teacher prior to her daughter’s birth and then a special education teacher three years after her daughter’s diagnosis. Having this range of experiences has created a passion for motivating parents and teachers to unite for our special children. This presentation will enlighten, as well as motivate teachers to connect with parents of children who have special needs.
