Wesley Educational Services is a leading national provider of staff
development services in multiple areas including Response to
Intervention, Differentiated Instruction, and Research-based
Interventions for academics and behavior. Our workshops are
consistently rated as superior for content and usability. We work
with each of our client systems to develop learning experiences
tailored to specific staff needs. Here is what some of our clients
say about our workshops:
Cara Shores presented a two-day workshop
entitled Using Response to Intervention for School Improvement
during our August Teacher workshop. The response from those who
attend was overwhelmingly positive. Cara presented the RTI process
in a way that was practical. The common sense suggestions she
provided for implementation have paved the way for staff to readily
put into practice aspects of RTI. Since the presentation, I have
observed that sites have already implemented universal screening.
The have used that data to begin to provide TIER II interventions to
students in need. They have developed and implemented a number of
interventions using standard protocols. Staff are experiencing
success with the process and growing to appreciate the power of RTI.
I believe staff has gained a new appreciation for research-based
interventions and their ability to address the unique needs of
struggling learners.
Cara Shores was able to present content
that can seem overwhelming to classroom teachers, in a practical,
organized, and manageable format. I would highly recommend Cara
Shores as a trainer on topic of RTI.

Cara’s work with the Kansas Multi-Tier System of
Supports (MTSS) Core Team provided the support necessary to allow
the State to more quickly provide accurate and practical information
to schools for planning and implementing a multi-tier model of
supports. She took the time to understand the philosophy and
framework that is being promoted within the Kansas MTSS model and
aligned all of her work to that framework. Her willingness to both
support and improve the MTSS framework has been greatly appreciated
as we strive to provide a consistent message and high quality
support to schools across Kansas.
